Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) has evolved significantly over the last decade moving from entirely analogue systems; VCRs, composite video and standard definition signals, to IP based systems; IP cameras, IP video streams and video signals in High Definition (HD) and greater. Analogue technologies have progressed to include HD video signals using a Standard Definition Interface, known as HD-SDI and also referred to as HDCCTV. These changes in technology have left many CCTV installers struggling to understand the systems. Our Engineers are all fully capable of delivering IP systems and we are often contracted by other CCTV installers to assist with their designs, system installations and commissioning.
There are significant advantages with IP systems and with the increase in system availability, and therefore the decrease in costs, HDCCTV and IP CCTV systems have become affordable and within reach of all but the most stringent budgets. We are experienced in creation of maps for alarms and events and in the integration (some custom designed by us) of IndigoVision with various other manufacturers including Commend intercom, Nedap access control and Honeywell Galaxy intruder systems. This integration provides the operator with superior and instant information regarding the site they are monitoring/controlling. We are also able to create multiple site systems with centralised monitoring and control.
HikVision is another manufacturer we use frequently and is a great system for homes and small businesses. Its lower price point combined with excellent, feature rich hardware, software and Smartphone apps makes these systems difficult to beat.
